I enjoy these step bars, particularly the value!
The only dilemma I had was mine created a knocking noise throughout turning, acceleration, and braking immediately after about 2 weeks. I double checked the bolts a few instances to make sure they did not loosen up. I finally figured out that the knocking noise was coming from where the brackets had been rubbing on the step bars themselves, metal on metal.
I went to my nearby hardware store and picked up an assortment of significant nylon, rubber, and metal washers. I bought far more than I necessary of course, but soon after playing with it a bit I got a prescription to solve the knocking noise.
I placed a 3" rubber washer against the front and rear bracket then a 3" nylon washer, then three 1 1/four" metal washers to take up the void amongst the bracket and step bar nut-threads, and place the original bolt by means of and tightened it down decent. I also, placed two little rubber washers amongst the middle bracket and step bar.
The rubber washers have seemed to do the trick, and the metal washers that take up the void of space make it so there is no loss of structural integrity.
Typically you just gotta follow the motto, "made in China, tweeked in the U.S.A."

theres bars fit my 2002 gmc sierra with no complications but you do have to have to invest in some washers to put at the ends of the bars they are sunk in i had to obtain 12 large washers all of three bucks but they are worth it they look rather sharp i genuinely didnt know what it was going to look like but wow it set it off so if you have to have nerf bars theses are the ones you need
